What You’ll Be Doing
We are seeking a very dependable, flexible, highly organized, detail-oriented Member and Church Safety Specialist to see to the safety of our staff/members, visitors, and guests in our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that our buildings are opened and closed for regularly scheduled functions/meetings, act as a Cov Care Concierge, and ensure the facility is safe. This role requires a commitment to high quality work and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
You Will Be Responsible For
● According to schedule, perform general security functions such as locking and unlocking assigned doors and rooms
● Check for unlocked doors and unauthorized occupants
● Turn lights on/off where necessary.
● Respond to alarms and alerting city services (fire and/or police departments) for emergency situations.
● Proper documentation of emergency situations
● Serve as a watch against unauthorized occupants and vandalism
● Greet visitors and guests
● Provide directional information for meetings, events, contractors, and service appointments
What We Need From You
● High school diploma or equivalent.
● CPR certified
● AED certification is great, but not required
● Ability to work additional and/or weekend work hours, if necessary
● General knowledge of and support the mission, vision, values, policies and procedures of New Covenant M.B. Church
